FAQ: FAQ

What kinds of insurance do we accept?

We do accept most major insurances including United, Florida Blue, Cigna, Aetna, AvMed, Magellan, Beacon, and Humana. We also provide our families with a private pay option.

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based practice used to support children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (it is the only therapy endorsed by the Surgeon General), ADHD, Down Syndrome, and Fragile X. ABA acknowledges the affects of the environment on behavior and uses a series of reinforcement and punishment to decrease problem behavior and increase appropriate behavior.

How to get started with services?

Each insurance company has different systems to start therapy. First, check with your insurance company to ensure you have benefits, we'd be happy to help you with this step. Secondly, have a prescription for ABA therapy from your doctor, including the primary diagnosis. Lastly, set up the assessment and get ready for services to start.

What is Social Skills Group?

Our Social Skills Group (SSG) is a 10 week program that separates the participants into both age and behavior appropriate classes.  Depending on the needs of the participants the SSG classes can focus developing friendship skills, community safety skills, turn taking and problem behavior during group instruction using ABA principles.

What is Pre-K Prep?

Our Pre-School Prep is a 16 week service focused on providing additional supports to children who need extra assistance with school readiness skills such as sitting patiently and attending within a classroom setting. Though it is not a school our Pre-School Prep program provides a small group size with one-on-one assistance.
